Here’s a first look at J-Hope‘s Prime Video doc, Hope on the Street.
The trailer opens with BTS‘ J-Hope tracing his roots as a dancer and how dancing opened up a whole world of opportunities for him. “I started with dance and that dancing led to many other things,” muses J-Hope, at the beginning of the trailer.
The six-episode docu-series will launch on March 28 on Prime Video and will also feature songs from J-Hope’s special album Hope on the Street Vol. 1, which will be launched on March 29 at 1pm, Korea time.
Hope on the Street follows J-Hope and his former instructor, the popping champion Boogaloo Kin, as they explore the streets of Osaka, Seoul, Paris, New York, and Gwangju, meeting inspiring street dancers along the way.
“In the end, I found the answer in dancing and singing. We’ll just keep loving what we’re doing,” J-Hope adds. The trailer also includes an old video of him saying that his favorite saying is, “Just dance.”
J-Hope began his mandatory military service in April 2023, which lasts 18 months. He and the other BTS band members plan to reconvene in 2025 after completing their military training.
