The House of the Dragon Season 2 had a strong finish.

Sunday night’s finale drew 8.9M viewers across HBO and digital platforms, the network announced Monday. That marks a season-high audience, with 14% growth over the Season 2 premiere’s 7.8M.

However, it is still down versus the Season 1 premiere, which drew more than 9M viewers two years ago.

Season 2 has lost a bit of its audience overall compared to Season 1. Season 2 is averaging nearly 25M cross platform viewers per episode to-date, HBO said.
