More Details On Onijah Robinson & Her Viral Videos In Pakistan
According to Carter, the 32-year-old traveled to Pakistan with plans to meet and marry her teenage suitor. She was ultimately ghosted by the young man and his family. However, the country’s media — and its residents — instantly fell in love with Robinson.
“People were very much taking care of her — like, they were braiding her hair, they got her a bonnet, they were doing her eyebrows,” Bilal Hassan, a resident of the country, told Carter.
Amid all of the love, Robinson was reportedly being monitored by Pakistani police. This was reportedly due to concerns for her mental health amid her head-turning demands.
“I’m not talkin’ unless y’all giving me land,” Robinson is heard telling onlookers in one video.

According to Carter, a man claiming to be Robinson’s son took to social media amid the events. In video footage, he alleged she has a “mental bipolar disorder.” Furthermore, earlier this month, concern for Robinson appeared to be doubled down on when the U.S. consulates reached out to her, urging her to return to the U.S.
