Harry Kane is fighting to be fit for Bayern Munich’s clash with Eintracht Frankfurt at the Allianz Arena this Sunday.

Kane was substituted at half-time during Bayern’s last-gasp win over Celtic in the Champions League, raising concerns of an issue.

The England captain being absent would be a huge blow for the German giants as they look to extend their lead at the top of the Bundesliga.

Vincent Kompany’s side have won 17 of their 22 games so far this season, and they currently sit eight points clear of second-place Bayer Leverkusen

But one of the rare occasions they have dropped points came against Frankfurt in a 3-3 thriller in October thanks to a late goal from now-Man City star Omar Marmoush.

Bayern Munich vs Eintracht Frankfurt: Team news

As mentioned, Kane is a major doubt for this game after seemingly aggravating a knock against Celtic in midweek.

He went into that game carrying a calf issue and then opted to not continue on Tuesday night, which is a worrying sign for Bayern.

If he is to miss out, Thomas Muller would replace him up front as the only other striker option at the club following Mathys Tel’s loan to Tottenham.

Former Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha is almost back to full fitness but this game may come too soon to play from the start.

As for Frankfurt, Robin Koch and Igor Matanovic are set to remain sidelined.

Rasmus Hojlund’s brother, Oscar, is a doubt after being subbed with a knock last time out, while ex-Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi could feature.

Bayern Munich vs Eintracht Frankfurt: What has been said?

On his injury, Kane said on Tuesday: "I'm OK.

"We tried everything to try it today. But it didn't feel good in the first half. It was better to put someone else on the field.

“I'm not sure if I can play against Frankfurt on Sunday."

Manager Kompany added: "It's a bit of a shame that Harry is out.

“But I can't say yet how long or what he has.

"We actually have almost the full squad available."
