WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan got booed at the WWE RAW on Netflix premiere.
Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, Hulk Hogan’s appearance at the WWE RAW on Netflix premiere came up in the conversation. McAfee noted that he didn’t expect to see Hogan get booed. Hogan responded by saying that he did.
“Oh, I did. Yeah,” Hulk Hogan said. “There’s the political stuff, but you gotta realize, last time I ran hard in LA, I was a bad guy. I was Hollywood Hogan. I was riding dirty with the boys, [Kevin] Nash and [Scott] Hall, and we were spray-painting people and crotch-shotting everybody, started the Too Sweet stuff. So last time I was there. I was a heel. But I think the politics had a whole lot to do with it, like you said.”
Hulk Hogan Wanted To Turn Heel
McAfee alluded to some “other stuff” being a reason why Hogan got booed, and he admitted that public figures slipped and fell sometimes. He then said that he had to be the good guy, but he wanted to go “Hollywood Hogan” on the crowd.
“Yeah, of course [laughs]. But at the end of the day, you do skip and fall a couple times,” Hulk Hogan said. “But anyway, at the end of the day, we kind of looked at it the next day, because I had like 11 billion impressions, and some of the other guys, some of the big stars that were on that card, only had like three billion. The one thing is, I was talking about the beer, we’re in a relationship with WWE, they’re my partner in this thing, and I had to be a good guy in LA.
“Now, if this was for wrestling, and they turned on me like that, I would have turned into Hollywood Hulk Hogan. ‘Oh, so you hate me for everything I’ve done for all the Make-a-Wish kids and everything I did for your kids? Guess what? I did it for the money.
Hogan noted he couldn’t do that because he couldn’t go that, but he was ready to go after them.
