Hyderabad: The city of Hyderabad is all set to host a two-day ‘Global AI Summit’ starting Thursday. The event will see the participation of over 2,000 delegates, including top heads from the IT industry. These attendees will engage in discussions about the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on the global economy.
The main theme of the summit is “Making AI work for everyone.” This global conference aims to address critical issues surrounding AI and its role in advancing technology.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, along with State IT and Industry Minister D Sridhar Babu, will inaugurate the summit. Delegates from around the world have confirmed their participation, making this a significant international event.
Notable figures like Sal Khan, head of Khan Academy, Daniela Combe from IBM, and Peter Diamandis of XPRIZE Foundation, will be attending. These global leaders in AI will share their insights, visions, and ideas to help shape the future of the AI sector.

The summit will cover various topics, including future opportunities and new innovations in AI. Delegates will debate important issues such as the impact of AI on society, the need for regulation, and the challenges AI presents. Additionally, research, startup demos, and innovative projects currently in development will be showcased at the event.
The State Government has ambitious plans, including the establishment of an ‘AI City’ on 200 acres of land within the proposed Fourth City under the Greater Hyderabad limits. The government hopes that the Global AI Summit will highlight Telangana’s IT growth and position Hyderabad as a prime destination for IT investments on the global stage.
During a recent visit to America, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized that promoting Telangana as a global hub for Artificial Intelligence is a top priority for his government. The state has already laid out plans to make Hyderabad a key destination for AI and related services. At the summit, the CM is expected to release a detailed roadmap for promoting AI in Telangana. The conference will also feature 25 special programs focused on AI development.
