Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has allegedly revealed that he never spent a day in prison after he was convicted and sentenced to jail for naira abuse in April 2024.

He disclosed this in a voice recording released by influencer, VeryDarkMan on Tuesday night.

According to the voice recording, Bobrisky also admitted that he paid some officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) the sum of N15 million for the money laundering charges to be dropped against him.

In the voice recording, the crossdresser also claimed that after he was sentenced to a six-month jail term, his “godfather” made a call to the prison authorities, who offered him a lodge instead of the prison.

He added that to conceal the arrangement, he was instructed not to come out from the lodge for the duration of his jail term and he should not let anyone know about it.

He was in April 2024, arrested and detained by the Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) in Lagos and was sentenced to six months without an option of a fine for abusing the naira.

He was released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre on August 5, 2024, after serving over four months out of his initial six-month sentence.
