Arsenal legend Ian Wright has risked incurring the wrath of his beloved fans by admitting he is a closet Liverpool supporter.
The 60-year-old, who is the Gunners' second all-time top scorer with 185 goals, made the shock confession when discussing Jurgen Klopp's bombshell revelation.
Wright made a interesting Liverpool confession when speaking about KloppCredit: X: @IanWright0Klopp announced on Friday that he will be standing down as Reds manager at the end of the season to bring an end to nine years at Anfield.
And it's not just Liverpool fans that have been left in tears by the news, with Wright insisting he has upset by the German's exit admission.
Speaking on ITV ahead of Liverpool's FA Cup fourth round clash against Norwich, he said: "It was a sad day. I was quite sad.
"People say I’m a closet Liverpool fan and if the shock and sadness says that I’m a closet Liverpool fan, then I probably am.
"Because I was really sad to hear the news.”
He put his Arsenal reputation even further on the line when he uploaded a picture of himself and Liverpool icon Robbie Fowler on X.
Captioning the social media post, he referenced Fowler's nickname by Reds fans, as he simply stated: "God."
It is the same moniker that the Arsenal faithful dubbed Wright's ex-teammate Dennis Bergkamp as.

But Liverpool supporters were loving Wright's disclosure that he has a soft spot for Arsenal's title rivals, as one X user said: "He's actually a Red."
