Chief Emeka Ihedioha, former Governor of Imo State, has visited Governor Alex Otti of Abia State days after he dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Ihedioha paid a visit to Governor Otti at his residence in Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South on Sunday amid speculations that he might be planning to join the LP to pursue his political ambition in Imo State.
Governor Otti, who is the only LP Governor in the South East and the entire country, warmly welcomed Ihedioha during his private visit. After the initial greeting, the two politicians then went into a closed-door meeting.
While the specific agenda of their discussion remains undisclosed, speculations abound that it may relate to the political landscape in Imo State and the potential for Ihedioha to align with the LP and prosecute his governorship ambition.
Ihedioha’s departure from the PDP came amid controversy surrounding the party’s National Secretary position and other issues the main opposition party has been battling with.
