Two weeks into the January transfer window, Marcus Rashford has found himself linked with a host of suitors across Europe – including admirers in the Premier League.
The door has never been more open for the 27-year-old to complete a move away from his boyhood club, and for the first time potentially ever, Manchester United are ready to sign off on his exit.
It’s now been four weeks since Rashford last featured in a match, with last night’s FA Cup victory over Arsenal marking a seventh straight game where he has watched on either from home or the sidelines.
At full-time, Ruben Amorim was pressed on his No.10’s future and whether he would play for United again.
“I don’t know. We will see,” the boss admitted via Rich Fay. “He is a player for Manchester United. He loves this club, but I have to make choices. It is what it is.”

Miguel Delaney also confirmed this afternoon that the forward has the option of staying in England – albeit moving down South for the duration of his stay – after Tottenham Hotspur approached United to try and gauge the possibility of taking their homegrown talent on loan by holding ‘informal talks’.
West Ham had previously done the same, but their recent change in management has left their reported interest in the air.
The 60-capped Three Lions star is contracted to Old Trafford until 2028, giving United leverage over his future and the fee they could recuperate for him. That being said, exiling him from all first-team action will only drive down his transfer value as time goes on, so a concrete decision needs to be made imminently.
