Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has urged President Bola Tinubu to initiate the process of restructuring, emphasizing its significance in addressing Nigeria’s numerous challenges.
In a statement released through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele underscored the importance of restructuring, stating, “I have not seen the government planning on restructuring but it is the best thing that can make Nigeria move forward. Let every region stand on their own, it will make the country stronger and make every state independent.”
He elaborated on the potential benefits of restructuring, suggesting that regional autonomy would alleviate the burden on the Federal Government. Primate Ayodele emphasized the need for states to utilize their resources effectively, saying, “Restructuring will lift the burden from the federal government; each state should be using their resources to get better.”
The spiritual leader urged President Tinubu to take action promptly, stating, “It’s going to take a long process for the government to act on restructuring, the president should start the restructuring process now to help the future of Nigeria.”
Primate Ayodele highlighted the positive outcomes of restructuring, including improved security and economic stability, affirming, “It is cancel hardship and economic jeopardy.”
He concluded by expressing his concern about the lack of government action on restructuring, stating, “Unfortunately, I have not seen the government working towards it, it’s a very serious thing they should work on because it will be of advantage to the country. It will help the country overcome insecurity of any form and promote harmony.”
