Jamie Carragher was left in stitches by a former Match of the Day legend's claim that Gary Neville can 'save Man United'.
Des Lynam wrote in The Telegraph that the former England right-back should take over to help steer the club back to form.

"A few years ago I suggested that the only man who could steer United back to their former glory was their one-time captain Gary Neville.
"I put it to him and while I touched something of a nerve, Gary made it clear that his business interests and his punditry for Sky would take precedence over any thought of engaging in football management again," Lynam wrote.
He continued: "But here goes – Neville would still be the best man for the job.
"He has Manchester United blood running through his veins.
"He is deeply hurt by the club’s present predicament. He has a powerful personality and would be a strong presence in the dressing room".
Lynam added that Neville is also an 'astute businessman' which could address Man United's financial woes at the top.
Neville's fellow Sky Sports pundit Carragher was quick to respond on X with a string of laughing faces at Lynam's suggestion.
Neville's brief managerial stint came in 2015-16 at Spanish side Valencia.
He was appointed as head coach after his brother Phil Neville had taken interim charge but had a largely forgettable experience, including a 7-0 thrashing to Barcelona in La Liga.

Lynam's suggestion came after Ruben Amorim's side succumbed to another defeat in a 3-1 loss to Brighton in the Premier League.
Whilst Amorim has been under fire, lots of the criticism has fallen on his players.
Amorim labelled the side 'the worst team in Man United's history' after recent defeats.
