Portuguese striker Joao Felix has another golden opportunity to convince Barça to keep him.

Joao Felix’s goal this season was to convince FC Barcelona to sign him permanently, and he must feel his chances slipping away. The Lusitanian player did everything to secure this transfer, including burning bridges with Atletico Madrid, the team that loaned him to Catalonia. But as time goes by, Xavi relies on him less and less and the chances of the club paying a big sum for him are dwindling.

The former Chelsea man still has a chance to regain the trust of the fans, and the opportunity will come no better than this weekend, when he faces his original club.

Felix towards a new loan?

His best performance of the season so far came against Los Colchoneros in the second leg, and he played like a man with something to prove. Xavi and all Barca fans hope he can repeat the feat on Sunday.

It won’t be enough to convince Barca to pay him a lot of money, but it could persuade him to arrange another year’s loan.
