Thanks to an absolute masterclass from Ferran Torres, who scored a hat-trick on his 100th appearance, Barcelona were able to secure a memorable 4-2 win over Real Betis on Sunday.

This was a crucial victory for the Catalans, who still remain alive in the race for the league title.

Ferran, though, was not the only Barcelona player who impressed on the night. The likes of Lamine Yamal and Joao Felix also performed well.

Speaking after the game, both players sounded quite confident about Barcelona’s challenge for the league title, despite trailing Girona and Real Madrid at this point.

“We will fight for La Liga until the end. Real Madrid and Girona may lose points at any time, we must be up there,” Felix said after the game (h/t Mundo Deportivo).

Appearing as a late substitute for Pau Cubarsi, Felix scored a goal immediately after coming on. His superb cameo late in the game ensured Barcelona came out with all three points.

Following this cameo, Felix issued a response to his critics, stating, “People talk about me when I play when I don’t play. They always have something to say. I don’t really care.”

I have confidence in myself and I try to do my best. It’s been so many years of the same thing. The best thing is to ignore them,” he added.

Meanwhile, another attacker who impressed on the night was Lamine Yamal. The young forward registered a crucial assist, while he also completed five dribbles and three attempts on goal.

Speaking about the victory, Yamal highlighted that the three points could prove to be a turning point for Barcelona’s campaign.

“I’m sure that this result can be a turning point for us. I’m very happy for the team and for my performance,” he said.

Yamal was suspended during Barcelona’s midweek affair against Unionistas. But the forward is back in contention and an excellent display against Real Betis should go a long way in boosting his confidence for the weeks to come.
