Joe Tessitore is officially moving to WWE SmackDown.

Tessitore signed with WWE in July 2024. He appeared during the Countdown to SummerSlam, and he joined WWE RAW with the September 2nd episode. WWE previously confirmed that Michael Cole and Pat McAfee would return to RAW with the move to Netflix, leading most to assume that Tessitore would move to SmackDown.

Speaking on SI Media with Jimmy Traina, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H was asked whether Joe Tessitore was going to SmackDown, and he confirmed that he was. He also discussed the job that Tessitore was doing.

“That passion, that love of the product, you can’t manufacture that. I’m a big believer that you can’t manufacture that. It’s also why Joe Tessitore works out. He’s such a massive fan. Even before he was doing anything with us, Joe would text me because we became friends through Nick [Khan]. He would be telling me, ‘I saw this podcast,’ I don’t even know what he’s talking about, and it’s my job to know.

Tessitore had been part of the WWE RAW commentary team with Wade Barrett. Triple H did not confirm who else would be on SmackDown commentary with Tessitore.
