Johnny Depp is receiving a big honor. The 61-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean actor and musician will be celebrated with a lifetime achievement honor at the 2024 Rome Film Fest, taking place between October 16-27. He will also debut his latest directorial project at the fest, called Modi – Three Days on the Wing of Madness, which documents the life of artist Amedeo Modigliani in 1916 Paris. The movie makes its world premiere at the 2024 San Sebastián Film Festival. Last year, he opened the 2023 Cannes Film Festival with Jeanne du Barry. Viggo Mortensen and Francis Ford Coppola are also both set to receive special honors at the Rome event, where they will also present their movies The Dead Don’t Hurt, and Megalopolis, respectively.
