Jules Koundé in the sights of an English giant

After his good performances at the Euro, French defender Jules Koundé has attracted the interest of a Premier League bigwig.

English club Arsenal have expressed an interest in Barcelona defender Jules Kounde, with the Gunners hoping to pair the former Bordeaux man with fellow countryman William Saliba in their rearguard.

According to the daily newspaper Sportalthough the club’s finances have improved, Barca still need a big sale this summer. And Kounde, whose contract runs until 2027, is said to be among the candidates for a departure.

Koundé gives priority to Barça

Arsenal are therefore very interested and have already expressed their interest in Koundé. The latter is currently enjoying his holidays after playing in the Euro with the Blues. A competition during which he particularly distinguished himself.

Before heading off to rest, Koundé made a detour to Barcelona and its training center. The French defender was seen at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to greet his teammates and introduce himself to new coach Hansi Flick. An initiative that demonstrates his desire to be involved in the club’s new project.
