Liverpool have suffered two big injuries ahead of the Carabao Cup final with Diogo Jota stretchered off at Brentford.

The Portuguese star hit the deck after a fierce collision with Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard.

After receiving treatment, Jota tried to get back to his feet before dropping back down to the ground, with a stretcher summoned onto the pitch.

He was then carried from the Gtech Community Stadium pitch and replaced by returning star Mohamed Salah.

This came after another injury blow in the first-half with Curtis Jones forced off after a challenge from Norgaard.

Liverpool have one eye on their Carabao Cup final clash with Chelsea next weekend.

However with Jota and Jones joining a lengthy injury list, Jurgen Klopp will be cursing his luck ahead of the Wembley showdown.

The German was later seen with his head in his hands as more strong challenges from Brentford flew in.
