There is set to be a massive managerial merry-go-round at top clubs in Europe in the summer as Barcelona, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich are some of the teams set to name new head coaches.

As far as Barcelona are concerned, Xavi Hernandez announced his decision to step down at the end of the season in late January, prompting the club to begin the search for a replacement.

And, Jurgen Klopp, who himself will be leaving Liverpool in the summer, is a dream candidate for the Blaugrana president Joan Laporta.

Meanwhile, earlier today, Bayern Munich announced that Thomas Tuchel will be leaving the club at the end of the season and reports in Germany suggested that they too have their sights on Klopp as a replacement.

Klopp firm on a sabbatical

However, according to SPORT, despite the interest of two European heavyweights in Barcelona and Bayern Munich, Klopp has reaffirmed his intention to take a sabbatical after the end of the ongoing season.

Klopp has already announced that he wanted to rest for a while and that he was giving up on Liverpool because he felt he was running out of steam after so many years at the top level.

The German tactician believes he is in need of recharging his batteries and neither Barcelona nor Bayern will tempt him to change his decision.

The report further adds that coaching in Spain would appeal to the Liverpool boss rather than managing Bayern Munich in Germany. However, at this point, the timing is simply not right.

As such, Barcelona have little to no chance of changing his mind even though they believed that they could convince him to join the club as Xavi’s replacement.
