Senator Ali Ndume has been reassigned as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Tourism following his recent removal from the position of Chief Whip.

The reshuffle in the Senate came after Ndume’s dismissal as the Senate chief whip, prompted by his comments suggesting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government had been taken over.

Ndume, a former Senate leader, made these remarks during a recent interview with Arise TV.

In response to his statements, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) took action, urging the Senate leadership to relieve him of his position.

Senator Ndume, who represents Borno South, will now lead the Tourism Committee in the Senate.
