JUST IN: Over 20 Players Leave Arsenal (FULL LIST)

Arsenal has announced the departure of 22 players from the English Premiere League Club.

This announcement came ahead of the official Premier League announcement of all men’s players whose contracts will expire on June 30.

Among those leaving are Nigerian-born players Ovie Ejeheri and Arthur Okonkwo.

Arthur Okonkwo progressed quickly through Arsenal’s youth system, making an early impact by sitting on the bench for an under-18 match while still registered with the under-15 team. He debuted for the under-23 side at 17, finished as runner-up in the U18 Premier League in the 2018–19 season, and served as a bench goalkeeper for the first team in the 2019–20 season.

Ovie Ejeheri joined Arsenal at the age of eight and signed his first professional contract with the club in August 2021.

In a statement on the club’s website, Arsenal said, “We are taking this opportunity to thank those players leaving us at the end of the month. We are saying goodbye to the following men’s players and scholars, and have also included the three women’s players we have previously announced will also be departing.”

The contracts of Amario Cozier-Duberry, Karl Hein, and Reuell Walters are set to expire on June 30, but the club indicated that discussions are ongoing and promised to inform the public once matters are finalized.

“We thank all the players leaving us for their contributions to the club. You will always be part of the Arsenal family and we wish you all the best of health and happiness in your future,” the club said.
