U.S. President Joe Biden, the Democratic Party candidate in the upcoming election, has raised the alrm over moves to rig the election in favour of his rival, Donald Trump.
Biden accused Elon Musk, the country’s richest man, of trying to buy electoral victory for the Republican Party candidate, Trump. This accusation follows Musk’s recent pledge to donate to a new fund supporting Trump for President.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Musk plans to contribute roughly $45 million each month to this fund. Reacting to the news, Biden expressed his frustration, stating he was “sick” of Musk and other billionaires attempting to “buy” the November election for Trump.
Biden urged Americans to donate to his campaign fund to help defeat Trump. On his social media handle Thursday, Biden wrote: “I’m sick of Elon Musk and his rich buddies trying to buy this election. And if you agree, pitch in here.”
Recently, Musk publicly endorsed Trump after the former President survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday.
On November 5th, Donald Trump will run against incumbent Joe Biden in what will be America’s first rematch election in almost 70 years.
