Super Eagles coach Finidi George is facing heavy criticism after overseeing two disappointing performances in the ongoing World Cup qualifiers since taking charge.

In his debut match against South Africa on Friday, the Nigerian team managed only a 1-1 draw, marking their third draw in the World Cup qualifying series and leaving them with just three points from as many matches.

Nigerians were hopeful for an improved performance against Benin Republic on Monday, but the Super Eagles were stunned by the underdogs, who secured a 2-1 victory.

Frustrated Nigerian football fans quickly took to social media to express their outrage, demanding the immediate dismissal of the Super Eagles coach.

The former Enyimba coach is currently among the top trend on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Who recommended Finidi as Super Eagles coach? I really wanna know. This is hurtful

Now we begin to do calculations to qualify for World Cup. We couldn’t win our home games, we are still loosing to Benin on a neutral ground.

Finidi George, thanks for your services, pls resign.
