Juventus tracking Manchester United midfielder ahead of summer transfer window

Juventus are keeping an eye on Manchester United midfielder Sofyan Amrabat heading into this summer’s transfer window, according to reports.

Amrabat joined United on loan late in last summer’s window but the Morocco international has not set the stage alight this season.

United made sure to insert a clause in the agreement that saw him move from Fiorentina, allowing the Reds to make his loan permanent at the end of the campaign.

But as things stand, it is highly unlikely that United will exercise that clause and will instead part ways with Amrabat, who is set to return to Florence.

According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, via TuttoMercato, Juventus considered a move for Amrabat before he joined United and are now exploring the opportunity again.

Amrabat will have just one year remaining on his contract at Fiorentina at the end of this season and is likely to be up for sale by the Italian giants. That could mean that Juventus are preparing to pounce and negotiate a cut-price deal.

Amrabat is one of several United midfielders with uncertain futures, with Casemiro and Christian Eriksen also possibly leaving the club this summer.

Ten Hag could look to rejuvenate the United engine room with younger players and Amrabat could be one of the first players to fall victim to that.
