Kaitlyn Dever has had to beef up security detail while working on the upcoming second season of The Last of Us. The 27-year-old actress is set to portray the character Abby in the new episodes, who if you don’t know, is a rival to Ellie, played by Bella Ramsey. In a recent interview, one of Kaitlyn‘s co-stars on the series adaptation, Isabela Merced, revealed that she had to have more security due to who her character is and the response from fans. Keep reading to find out more… While appearing on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, host Josh Horowitz noted how in the video games, Abby “does some things that people don’t necessarily approve of.” Isabela said Kaitlyn “had to be extra secured by security” during filming due to fans’ hatred of the character. “There are people that genuinely hate Abby, who is not a real person,” Isabela said on the pod. She did, however, add that Kaitlyn is “such a cool person” who “does not get phased by things” and “has her head in the right place.” “Give her the damn Emmy honestly. I’m so excited for people to see how incredibly well Bella and Kaitlyn did on this,” she said of her co-stars.
