Kalki 2898 AD is touted to be the most awaited movie of 2024. Fans just can’t wait to see the futuristic world that boasts a stellar star cast. As the movie is nearing, the makers are constantly dropping new looks of the characters, BTS moments, new songs or trailers. However, have you noticed that the makers were very secretive about Kamal Haasan’s look in the movie? For a while, they have not been releasing the look of Kamal Haasan from Kalki 2898 AD until today.

On Wednesday, the makers finally dropped a new look for Kamal who is looking quite spooky and villainous. Though the poster is quite dark and not everything is clear, Kamal’s powerful expression can give you the chills for sure. Kamal will be essaying the role of antagonist Yaskin in the movie and fans are quite excited about his character. As we went through the comment section, a fan even called him the ‘Indian Thanos.’ Well, that’s a good compliment.

A fan said, “Universal star for a reason”, while another one commented, “all starcast one side and kamal sir other side”. There was one more who said, “Kalki is going to break all the records.”

In the interview, when the topic of Kamal Haasan’s casting was pointed out, Prabhas added, “I was like why will he do it? Don’t torture him. Just leave.” In response, Kamal Haasan finally replied, “It’s not a question of torture. Self-doubt comes, you know. He has done this (Pointing towards Amitabh and Prabhas). What am I going to do? That was the reason. And it’s not that I’ve played bad guys before. Even as a lead bad guy, psychopaths and all that. But this is something else.” The clip of the interview surfaced on X.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani and Prabhas. The movie is slated to release on June 27.
