Kangana Ranaut wants to normalise obsessive work culture
A while ago, Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram Stories and shared a video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaking about working 24×7 towards building the nation. Supporting his ideology, the Mandi MP wrote, “We need to normalise obsessive work culture and stop with the waiting for the weekends and crib about Mondays memes, that’s all western brainwashing we are not a developed nation yet.”

Kangana Ranaut isn’t the first person to advocate such thoughts. A while ago, Infosys founder Narayana Murthy also said something similar, attracting criticism from the working populace. In a conversation with former Infosys CFO Mohandas Pai (for the inaugural episode of 3one4 Capital’s podcast ‘The Record’), Murthy said, “India’s work productivity is one of the lowest in the world. Unless we improve our work productivity…we will not be able to compete with those countries that have made tremendous progress.” He added, “My request is that our youngsters must say, ‘This is my country. I’d like to work 70 hours a week.'”
