Bray Wyatt’s genius can never be understated, and WWE Superstars such as Karrion Kross were more than aware of just how brilliant Wyatt’s creative mind was. In fact, Kross has now revealed scrapped plans for a wrestling show he and Wyatt were working on before their WWE return.

While speaking on NotSam Wrestling, Karrion Kross revealed that he and Bray Wyatt had been working on plans for an episodic wrestling show before returning to WWE. They had received a pilot script, and the show was mainly focused on a big storyline between them, building toward a major clash in the first season.

“Him and I were about to do an episodic wrestling show. We both got a pilot, and the show was written primarily around us and this giant confrontation between the two of us, building for the first season.”

While things were moving forward with the project, Triple H reached out to Kross and suggested they talk the following week. Kross started to think that WWE might be asking them to come back.

Kross talked to Wyatt about it, and while they were both excited about the show, they realized going back to WWE might be the right move. Wyatt felt strongly that working under Triple H would be the best decision.

“Hunter reached out to me and said, ‘Let’s talk next week.’ So, I buzzed him, and I’m like, ‘Dude, I think he’s going to ask us to come back. What do we do?’ It was feeling pretty serious that the show was going to happen, but we just didn’t know when it would take off. We were both really excited about it—it was like a dream project.

He goes, ‘Dude, I think we’ve got to go home. Hunter’s got the ship. Is there a better person to work for on the entire planet?’ And I was like, ‘No, there’s not.'”

Before making the final call, Kross reached out to the writer of the pilot and explained the situation and asked for their support. The writer encouraged him to go for it, saying he should take the chance to return to WWE and become a world champion. With their blessing, Kross and Wyatt decided to go back to WWE.

“So, I called up the person who wrote the pilot, and I just said, ‘I can’t do this unless I get your blessing.’ He was like, ‘Go be a world champion. Go. This is going to be here. This is always going to be here.’ I said, ‘Okay.’ And yeah, we went back.”

Karrion Kross would return to WWE back in August 2022 while Wyatt made his return to WWE during Extreme Rules that year. Although the episodic show never happened, Kross’s story shows Bray Wyatt’s incredible creativity and his drive to try bold, new ideas in wrestling. Fans believe it’s a shame the project was never made, as it had the potential to be something amazing.
