Kartik Aaryan amazes netizens with his drastic weight loss transformation for Chandu Champion; shares before and after pic

Actor Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for the release of the highly-anticipated movie Chandu Champion. The movie is a biopic based on India’s first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar. But his transformation to play a real-life character was challenging not just mentally but physically as well. The one thing that got everyone chatter was his weight loss transformation. Kartik Aaryan went through regressive training to slip into the character due to which, he had to undergo intense weight loss.

To showcase his weight loss journey, Kartik Aaryan took to his Instagram and dropped a ‘then-and-now’ picture. The first picture had a lanky Kartik with a belly while the other side of the collage has a fit Kartik, flaunting his chiselled body. Sharing the picture, the Shehzada actor stated that he came down to 7% body fat from 39%.

The picture was backed with, “From 39 % body fat to 7 % body fat!! From being an ‘insomniac’ to turning into a ‘fitness enthusiast’, it’s surely a journey of one and half years to remember for me. The life of the living legend Mr Murlikant Petkar, not only made me a stronger human being but also, further installed the belief that if you can dream it, then you can achieve it. Kartik Aaryan reveals his diet plan

During a candid chat with Bollywood Bubble, Kartik was asked about what he ate and what he had to sacrifice for Chandu Champion. The Freddy actor said, “Wheat, rice, sweets, chocolates, ice cream, burgers, pizza, etc. I had to stop eating a lot of things for the role. The food that I was eating was in small quantities that I didn’t even consider an appetizer. I used to have soup and little fruits, I used to have cauliflower rice, beans, salads, and tofu. I used to eat these for 1-1.5 years. Yes, there were no cheat meals, no Sundays for me, every day was working for me in terms of diet, working out.

Directed by Kabir Khan, Chandu Champion is scheduled to release on June 14, 2024.
