Katie Holmes will soon be an empty nester! Back in June, 18-year-old Suri graduated from New York City’s performing arts school LaGuardia High School. She previously seemingly revealed that she will be attending Carnegie Mellon University in the fall. In a new interview, Katie, 45, shared some very rare comments about Suri as she prepares to leave for college soon. Keep reading to find out more…“I’m proud of my daughter,” Katie told Town & Country. “Of course, I will miss the close proximity, but I’m really proud of her and I’m happy.” Katie went on to reflect at her own college days at Columbia University while imagining Suri‘s future. “I remember being this age, this time of beginnings,” Katie shared. “It’s exciting to learn about yourself, and I loved that time, so it makes me happy to think about it like that.” After her graduation, Suri appeared to reveal that she dropped her estranged dad Tom Cruise‘s last name.
