Keep It Low: Update On WWE’s Plans For Premium Live Events

They have a plan. There are all kinds of WWE shows throughout the year, with most of them being run of the mill television shows or live events. There are a select few which are treated as being far more important than others, with the top stars in important matches. WWE has been running these for years, but things are not as they have been in the past. Now we know more about those changes sticking around.

According to Fightful Select, WWE is expected to continue its trend of having fewer matches on Premium Live Events. The shows have featured around five to six matches in recent months, which is designed to leave major matches to be held on Monday Night Raw and SmackDown, the latter of which is often held in the same city as the upcoming Premium Live Event.

Opinion: This is one of those situations where it might be a bit annoying to have so much time to fill during WWE broadcasts, but it is hard to argue with the results. At the end of the day, WWE is on a roll right now and whatever they are doing is working. I can go for the idea of keeping the shows tighter, if nothing else due to the way it keeps some matches fresher, which is quite the perk.
