Keith Urban has given fans an update on his wife Nicole Kidman, who said she was “heartbroken” when she announced the unexpected death of her mother earlier this month.
“Yeah, everybody’s good, man. Thank you for asking,” the country crooner, 56, told the Times in an interview published on Friday.
He did not comment further on the death of his mother-in-law, Janelle.

Halina Reijn, director of the film “Babygirl,” read a hand-written note from Kidman — who won best actress for her performance in the film — during her scheduled appearance.
“Today I arrived in Venice to find out shortly after, that my beautiful, brave mother Janelle Ann Kidman has just passed,” the note read. “I am in shock and I have to go to my family, but this award is for her.”

A representative for Kidman confirmed the news to Page Six as well, saying, “The family is heartbroken and asks for privacy at this time.”

On Sept. 13, the Oscar-winning actress and her sister Antonia shared a message of gratitude to fans regarding their condolences.
“My sister and I along with our family want to thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we have felt this week,” Kidman penned alongside throwback photos of their mother.
“Every message we have received from those who loved and admired our Mother has meant more to us than we will ever be able to express.”
It is unclear how Janelle, who was 84, died.

“We’re down here [in Australia] primarily to take care of my mother and to have her surrounded by her grandchildren,” she said.
“So luckily, last — yesterday, even though [COVID-19 strain] Omicron is raging through this country, we were able to take her into the gallery after hours and show her the Matisse exhibit, which, coming from a mother who’s raised me in the arts was very, very — it was soothing balm.”
In 2020, Kidman said she missed her mom’s 80th birthday due to the pandemic but was pleased to reunite with her in August of that year.
