Kevin Durant is set to become a minority shareholder in Paris Saint-Germain, according to journalist Romain Molina.

Kevin Durant wasn’t just in Paris in recent days to depress the fans of the French basketball team. The American superstar, who won Olympic gold with the United States in the final against Les Bleus, took advantage of his stay in the Parisian capital to negotiate some rather interesting deals on the business front. “KD”, who has already invested heavily in Silicon Valley and in various businesses in the United States, is now setting his sights on more international things.

According to Romain Molina, Kevin Durant, currently under contract with the Phoenix Suns, will become a minority shareholder of Paris Saint-Germain very soon. The news has not yet been confirmed by QSI, nor by any other French media or even by Durant himself.

Inspired by LeBron with Liverpool?

Durant is probably looking to achieve the same kind of capital gain as his partner LeBron James, who had taken minority shares in several franchises and teams managed by the investment fund Fenway Sports Group, including the Liverpool club. In a few years, the Reds had seen their value soar.

Currently, Paris Saint-Germain is estimated to be worth more than $4 billion if sold in full, making it the 7th most valuable club in the world of football.
