Veteran Nollywood actress Idowu Phillips, better known as Mama Rainbow has come under heavy criticism for using the pre-wedding photos of Davido and Chioma to lament the loss of her sweet husband, Ayanfemi.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Davido is set to wed Chioma, the mother of his twins in a proper traditional wedding ceremony set to hold at the Eko hotel in Lagos.
The singer via his verified social media released stunning pre-wedding photos on Sunday, setting the internet agog with anticipation of the much-talked-about wedding.
Reacting, Mama Rainbow via her Instagram on Monday shared one of the prewedding photos of Davido and Chioma, recalling her wedding with late husband which took place in the 1950s.
The veteran actress went down memory lane, recounting her husband death and how he would have reacted if she had been the one lying lifelessly on the river bank without a breath.
She wrote, “Haa I remember me and my dearest husband Alamu ogo on our wedding day in 1950s 😭
.“Happy marriage life Mr and Mrs Adeleke ❤️🤍
“My love, my sweet husband Ayanfemi although I know there is no use, sometimes my mind will wander to what it would have been like if life were reversed. If I had been the one that died that day.👌
“If I was the one who lay on the side of the river without a breath in my chest, and you were the one who received the call in the hallway of our home.
“I think about what it would have been like for you, my love, how you would have reacted upon hearing those words. Hearing that I had taken my last breath and closed my eyes, leaving you to keep going without the comfort of my presence in a world that is spinning out of control. Still missing you Oko mi. Alamu ogo.”
The post did not sit well with fans of the singer who stormed the comment section of the post to call her out for using the singer’s pre-wedding photos to remember late husband.
In what appeared to be an edited post, Mama Rainbow congratulated the couple after receiving negative reactions on her page.
