Kristin Cavallari spoke out for the first time since her ex-husband Jay Cutler’s arrest for driving under the influence.
The “Hills” star added a quick introduction to Tuesday’s episode of her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast to clarify that she recorded it prior to the former NFL quarterback being taken into custody last Thursday.
“I wanted to hop on here and just let you guys know that this episode was recorded right before a very public incident that happened last week with my ex-husband, so just keep that in mind as you’re listening,” she told her listeners.

Cavallari, 37, was married to Cutler, 41, from 2013 to 2020 when they announced their separation. They finalized their divorce two years later.
The former “Very Cavallari” co-stars share three children: sons Camden, 12, and Jaxon, 10, and daughter Saylor, 8.

Cavallari shared the brief statement after Cutler was arrested on charges including DUI, gun possession, failure to exercise due care and violation of implied consent law.
The former Chicago Bears player was arrested in Franklin, Tenn., and looked straight-faced in his mugshot taken in Williamson County Jail. He was released later Thursday on a $5,000 bond.
Prior to his arrest, Cutler was allegedly involved in an accident when he rear-ended a car in downtown Franklin. The Franklin Police Department told Page Six that he allegedly attempted to flee the scene and offered the other driver $2,000 if they hashed things out without cops.

APThe police eventually arrived to the scene and approached Cutler, whom they noticed had “bloodshot” eyes, according to their report. Cutler was also allegedly “slurring his words” and smelled of “a strong odor of alcohol.”
The officer who arrested Cutler claimed the retired athlete was “staggering, swaying and heavy-footed while walking” and spoke “thick-tongued, slurred and mumbled.”
When the cop asked Cutler how much alcohol he drank, he allegedly responded, “None” before confessing that he had “a little bit” of alcohol, according to the police report.

Jeff Schear“Cutler refused field sobriety tests and was taken to a local hospital where a blood sample was obtained through a blood search warrant,” the police department added in its statement.
Officers later searched Cutler’s truck after he denied being involved in the rear-end accident, and they located a loaded piston in addition to a second firearm.
Cutler has yet to speak out about his arrest.
