“I will not be commenting on what happened,” she added. “I do, of course, wish Jay nothing but the best, and I do hope that he gets the help that he needs, but that’s the only thing I will be saying about it publicly.”

Cavallari, 37, was married to Cutler, 41, from 2013 to 2020 when they announced their separation. They finalized their divorce two years later.

Cavallari shared the brief statement after Cutler was arrested on charges including DUI, gun possession, failure to exercise due care and violation of implied consent law.

The former Chicago Bears player was arrested in Franklin, Tenn., and looked straight-faced in his mugshot taken in Williamson County Jail. He was released later Thursday on a $5,000 bond.

Prior to his arrest, Cutler was allegedly involved in an accident when he rear-ended a car in downtown Franklin. The Franklin Police Department told Page Six that he allegedly attempted to flee the scene and offered the other driver $2,000 if they hashed things out without cops.

The police eventually arrived to the scene and approached Cutler, whom they noticed had “bloodshot” eyes, according to their report. Cutler was also allegedly “slurring his words” and smelled of “a strong odor of alcohol.”

The officer who arrested Cutler claimed the retired athlete was “staggering, swaying and heavy-footed while walking” and spoke “thick-tongued, slurred and mumbled.”

When the cop asked Cutler how much alcohol he drank, he allegedly responded, “None” before confessing that he had “a little bit” of alcohol, according to the police report.

“Cutler refused field sobriety tests and was taken to a local hospital where a blood sample was obtained through a blood search warrant,” the police department added in its statement.

Officers later searched Cutler’s truck after he denied being involved in the rear-end accident, and they located a loaded piston in addition to a second firearm.

Cutler has yet to speak out about his arrest.
