Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga, has said that Barcelona’s finances have improved compared to previous times.

He is confident that if Barcelona can handle some unresolved issues and manage to offload a few players, they could potentially make some significant signings.

Tebas mentions that Barcelona’s activity in the upcoming summer transfer window will be influenced by several factors that need to be addressed.

The club’s management has assured La Liga that they are on the right track and Tebas is hopeful that Barcelona will comply with the financial regulations, making this summer’s transfer dealings less challenging than in previous years.

“It will depend on some issues they have to do. They are telling us that they are doing well. They know what they have to raise,” Tebas said as quoted by AS.

“I hope, wish and believe that Barcelona will enter into the one-to-one rule and this summer they will not have it as difficult as in others.”

Barcelona are undoubtedly working hard to meet certain financial targets because they want to provide strong support for their new manager, Hansi Flick, for the 2024/25 season.

The club aims to improve its squad without repeating the financial struggles of past transfer windows.

Currently, Barcelona have decided against making any major sales this summer. However, it is possible that players like Frenkie de Jong, Oriol Romeu, Sergi Roberto, and even Ronald Araujo might be sold.

The main reason for considering their sale is that some of these players, like de Jong and Araujo, have high salaries. Selling them could bring in significant funds, which would greatly assist the club in pursuing their transfer targets.

Barcelona are eyeing players like Joshua Kimmich, Nico Williams, and Mikel Merino. The money from selling high-earning players would help finance these new signings, thereby strengthening the squad without causing financial strain.
