WWE has become the global giant in the sport of wrestling and entertainment for its continuous and innovative content that its fans love to tune in to each week. Keeping the innovation wheel churning, they are all set to come up with yet another new program.

As announced during the WrestleMania kick-off press event in Las Vegas, WWE is set to launch its new internet show, WWE Speed in partnership with the social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter).

The show will air WWE in-ring bouts with a five-minute time limit with the collaboration being for two years with social media giant. According to a report, the matches will go on the air every week throughout the year and will follow a similar format to WWE’s flagship television programs.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was revealed that WWE Speed would start in the spring of this year and perhaps tape some episodes before to air them live on Friday Nights.

“The deal between WWE and X (formerly twitter) for WWE Speed starts in the spring and it’s a two-year contract. WWE will likely be taping a couple of bouts, or perhaps even airing them live on Friday nights. It’s a two year contract for matches that will have five minute time limits. It is still to be determined if it will air live or not.”

With a new format of the WWE program coming up soon, it will surely be an interesting venture to look out for as WWE superstars will get more opportunities under a time limit to showcase their talent.
