Lawyer Shares 2 Possible Reasons Justin Baldoni Published Website About Legal Battle When He Did

A lawyer who is not working with Justin Baldoni opened up about the website that he published about his legal battle with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

On Saturday (February 1), the 41-year-old It Ends With Us actor/director made good on his promise to reveal a website that included all of the details and evidence from his lawsuit against the A-list couple.

The release came a few days before he and Blake are due in court for their first hearing. It followed him amending his $400 million lawsuit.

By releasing the information when he did, a legal expert hypothesized that he might have accomplished two things.

Lawyer Gregory Doll told People that the website was likely purposefully timed to go live before their first day in court as Blake and Ryan are trying to stop Justin‘s lawyer from publicizing more about the case.

“One of the issues raised in the letter briefs for Monday seeking to prevent Baldoni’s attorney from speaking about the case publicly is his stated intention to launch this very type of website,” Gregory told the outlet, noting that the publication date “accomplishes two things.”

He continued, saying, “One, it gets the website content out to the public before there is any order preventing Baldoni’s counsel from doing so; and two, it may persuade the judge that there is no reason to enter any type of gag order against Baldoni’s counsel because the info is already in the public domain anyway.”

The website featured some new text messages, including an exchange between Justin and Blake. It also revealed an alleged statement that Blake and Ryan wrote for Justin to put out, which he refused.

There was even an allegation about Blake leveraging her relationship with Taylor Swift to get her way in one instance.
