The championships resume this weekend after the international break. During the 5th day of La Liga, Espanyol welcomed the Alavés club to Catalonia, on the pitch of the Front Stadium training camp. A match full of twists and turns with nearly five goals scored. Indeed, the match started off with a bang for the locals with a goal from Javi Puado (21st). But before the break, Tomás Conechny managed to equalize for Alavés (35th). In the second half, Javi Puado scored twice (56th) then a hat-trick (63rd) on a penalty.

Nahuel Tenaglia’s goal (68th) did not prevent Espanyol from pocketing the three points (3-2). Javi Puado’s masterpiece allowed the Catalans to seal the victory. In the standings, Espanyol provisionally climbs to 7th place, while Alavés remains not far from its opponents with this fine 6th position. Next weekend, the Pericos will travel to Santiago Bernabeu to challenge Real Madrid, while the Babazorros will host Sevilla FC, during the 6th day of the Spanish championship.
