Liverpool set to play trick on FC Barcelona

It has unfortunately become a habit for FC Barcelona. Each new recruit must wait to be registered with La Liga to be able to officially don the Blaugrana jersey. The fault lies in finances that are always drained, where every euro counts. To register Dani Olmo, Barça was able to play a joker thanks to Christensen’s unavailability, which has increased to 4 months. But what about the rest? This is what makes each file complicated, while the leaders try to pull off coups.

The case of Federico Chiesa is a concrete example. According to part of the Catalan press, Barça made an offer of €9 million + €4 million in bonuses for the Italian winger, who Juventus Turin no longer wants. An agreement was even reached with the 26-year-old player, who would be a superb addition to the squad managed by Hansi Flick. But since then, it’s been the status quo, and time is running out. Because according to SkysportsLiverpool are ready to pounce on Chiesa.

Liverpool finally ready to get moving

Indeed, Liverpool have approached Juventus to take the temperature on this file. Arne Slot, the new coach of the Reds, would be delighted to add the Italian to his already very well-stocked attacking squad, with Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez. But the opportunity is great to attract an international at a lower cost, since Chiesa has a year left on his contract.

Liverpool are also reportedly keeping an eye on the Kingsley Coman case, as the latter is set to leave Bayern Munich. Totally sluggish in the summer transfer window so far, the Reds could thus wake up in the final stretch. And for Barça, this would mean a new lead that flies away…
