Ibrahima Konate couldn't help but laugh when asked if Kylian Mbappe could join Liverpool in a sensational summer move.
The Frenchman has told Paris Saint-Germain that he will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Liverpool, who were linked with the player when he was at Monaco, are another rumoured destination as the race to snap up the World Cup winner heats up.

Speaking to CANAL+ after Liverpool's 4-1 win against Brentford, he was asked about the possibility of Mbappe moving to Anfield.

Konate laughed and said: "In all honesty do you really think he’s going to come to Liverpool?
"We don't think about him, we all know where he's going to go."
Liverpool look set to be Premier League title challengers for many years, but signing Mbappe could see them become regular favourites.
The 25-year-old has scored 243 goals in 290 appearances for PSG since joining on an initial loan in 2017, and assisted a further 105.

Whilst a Premier League move is certainly an attractive prospect, all signs currently lead to Mbappe joining Madrid.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta gives Gunners supporters hope of stunning Kylian Mbappe transfer with Frenchman set to leave Paris Saint-Germain
The move would see him join a side who are already stacked with talent and could welcome him off the back of another LaLiga title.
Mbappe would slot into an attack that currently features Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham, who have scored a combined 45 goals this season.
Liverpool are by no means completely out of the running, but if Konate's reaction is anything to go by, a transfer is unlikely.
