The Queen of the Ring tournament this year has garnered a lot of attention from fans with some of the biggest names in the women’s division involved. With some of the most hard-hitting matches involved throughout the tournament, the excitement to determine the Queen of the Ring has been out of the park.
The 5/20 episode of WWE Raw featured the semi-finals for the tournament for the red brand. After some brilliant matches throughout the tournament, the WWE Universe expected nothing less from the semi-final match as well.
Iyo Sky and Lyra Valkyria locked horns to determine the top woman from Raw. In an action-packed and high-flying match, Lyra Valkyria defeated Iyo Sky. With her victory, the former WWE Women’s Champion secured a spot in the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament and will now face the winner among Nia Jax and Bianca Belair on Saturday at the King & Queen Of The Ring PLE.
With Valkyria’s win, it is clear that WWE is set to give a massive push to the newest woman on the red brand. With just one step away from becoming the Queen of the Ring, it would be interesting to see what happens in Saudi Arabia.
