Manchester City are keen on signing the Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo Goes during the summer transfer window.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, the Premier League champions have a concrete interest in the Brazilian international, and it will be interesting to see if they follow up with an official proposal in the coming weeks.
The 23-year-old is one of the best attackers in European football right now and he has had an impressive season with Real Madrid. The Brazilian scored 17 goals in all competitions and picked up nine assists along the way. He helped Real Madrid win the league title as well as the UEFA Champions League.
Manchester City could use a quality attacker like him, especially if Julian Alvarez leaves the club this summer. The Argentine international has been linked with an exit from the club, owing to the lack of regular game time. He will need to play more often at this stage of his career and if Manchester City cannot provide him with that opportunity, he should look to move on.

Rodrygo celebrates a goal for Real MadridRodrygo might not want to leave
Meanwhile, Rodrygo is a key player for Real Madrid and it will be quite difficult for Manchester City to lure him away from Spain. With that said, they are not the only English club keen on the Brazilian attacker. Chelsea want to sign the player as well, and the report from TEAMtalk claims that they have already been in contact with the player’s agents regarding a future move. It remains to be seen how the situation develops over the next few weeks.
Rodrygo does not have any reason to leave Real Madrid right now. He is playing for the best club in the world and he is winning major trophies consistently. He has had ample game time with the Spanish outfit as well. It seems unlikely that the player will force an exit. Real Madrid do not need to raise funds by selling their key players either. Therefore, a summer move seems improbable.
