Author of his team’s only goal, Erling Haaland allowed Manchester City to win their late match against Brentford (1-0), and to move back into the standings.

No new hitch for Manchester City. After their draw against Chelsea (1-1) last Saturday, the Skyblues avoided losing further points at the Etihad Stadium, by beating Brentford (1-0) in a late match of the 18th day of the Premier League.

After a first period of sterile domination (17 shots), the reigning champions made the difference thanks to the inevitable Erling Haaland. Served against by Julian Alvarez, the Norwegian cyborg eliminated his compatriot Kristoffer Ajer before adjusting goalkeeper Mark Flekken (71st).

Without shining too much, Man City provides the essentials by returning to second place in the standings, one point ahead of Arsenal, and one point behind Liverpool. Now, the three title contenders have played the same number of matches, and the final sprint promises to be exciting.
