Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay could leave the club this summer after attracting interest from Premier League clubs.

The Scotland international was used mostly as a substitute last season.

However, he still managed to contribute hugely to the team’s cause by scoring seven goals in the league last season and winning crucial points for the Red Devils.

According to Football Insider, Man United are looking to sign new players in the midfield before they will consider letting McTominay leave the club this summer.

The club has not made any decision on the midfielder’s future right now amid increasing interest from Fulham, West Ham, Newcastle United and Southampton.

There is no confirmation on the club’s stance regarding the midfielder and where his future lies.

McTominay has one year remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford, however, the Red Devils hold the option of extending his contract by twelve months.

Not only McTominay but Casemiro is also attracting interest from clubs as Saudi Pro League teams are eyeing a move for the Brazilian defensive midfielder.

United could lose both Casemiro and McTominay this summer but before agreeing to sell those two midfielders, the club wants to bring in a signing in that position.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte has been linked with a move to Old Trafford while Benfica youngster Joao Neves has also been mentioned.

Man United lack a midfielder with world class passing ability

There is no doubt that a new addition is needed in the midfield as there is a gap in that area of the team.

The defense and the attack needs a player who can link them with his passing ability and control the tempo of the game.

Along with signing a new attacker and a new defender, a new midfielder is expected to be signed this summer but it remains to be seen who that player is going to be.
