Manchester United may have only just about seen off a 'tough' Luton side this weekend, but three of their stars have been key to their boost in form.

Rasmus Hojlund's two goals helped the Red Devils secure their fourth Premier League win in a row, with Carlton Morris' first half strike not enough for the home side to get anything out the game despite a dominant display.

But it's not just Hojlund's firepower in their 2-1 win that has been vital for sixth place Man United recently.

Hojlund, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho made up Erik ten Hag's front line at Kenilworth Road on Sunday, with the latter also picking up an assist for Hojlund's second of the afternoon.

But aside from helping to create goals, stats show the trio also make a huge difference in Man United picking up points.

The Red Devils have had 18 league games without at least one of Hojlund, Rashford and Garnacho this season.

In that time they suffered nine defeats, scoring one goal per game, winning 1.4 points per game and mustering a win ratio of 44 per cent.

By comparison, in the seven league games the trio have played together, Man United haven't lost a single match, scored 2.4 goals per game, won 2.7 points per game and have a much improved win ratio of 86 per cent.

Following his assist on Sunday, Garnacho now has three to his name this season, as well as five goals, in the league. Meanwhile, Rashford has also fired in five goals and three assists, too.

Hojlund on the other hand has now seven league goals, netting in six games in a row. He's also bagged two assists.

Unsurprisingly, the 21-year-old was all smiles come the final whistle on Sunday and even sent his club's fans a message on Instagram that will have the other teams in the top six looking over their shoulder.

Speaking to the camera from the Kenilworth Road pitch, the Dane said: "Hey all, Rasmus here. Tough, tough away crowd, tough stadium. But we got there in the end and most important [thing] is three points.

"I'm very happy to get two goals and we keep pushing next week against Fulham. Come on!"

Man United sit just three points off fifth place Tottenham, albeit with Spurs having a much superior goal difference.
