Manchester United have slapped a €50m asking price on Mason Greenwood as the 22-year-old looks set to leave Old Trafford this summer.
The Englishman is currently on loan with Spanish side Getafe and is having a good season, scoring eight goals and producing a further five assists across 28 matches.
That has grabbed the attention of some of Spain’s biggest clubs with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid monitoring Greenwood’s situation, reports The Times.
The Catalan club have cooled their interest in recent days as they are worried about the backlash signing the controversial star may bring and also the price of the Man United star.
According to Marca, the Manchester club will seek €50m for the 22-year-old and with Barca’s financial issues, that will very likely be out of reach.
Mason Greenwood will be sold by Man United this summer

Why are Man United selling Mason Greenwood?
Greenwood is undoubtedly a great player and would have no problem getting into the current Man United squad; however, with everything that surrounded his arrest in 2022, this means that there is no way back for the player at Old Trafford and maybe English football as a whole.
It is the right decision for United to sell the 22-year-old and €50m would be a great fee to bring in for the player.
It is unlikely that the Premier League club gets what they are asking for but it could be possible if the Englishman continues to perform for Getafe between now and the end of the season.
