Manchester United are active in the transfer market this summer with the club currently working on several deals.
Bologna attacker Joshua Zirkzee is heading to the club soon with his medical scheduled today ahead of an exciting move.
Negotiations continue for Matthijs de Ligt with Bayern Munich and the Red Devils have received a major boost as the player prefers to join the club.
However, the club have seen two bids get rejected for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite but their interest in the player has still not ended.
Branthwaite’s teammate Dominic Calvert-Lewin is also being monitored by Man United and former Everton scout Bryan King has some encouraging words for the Red Devils.
He spoke to Goodison News about Man United’s interest in Everton duo Branthwaite and Calvert-Lewin.
King said:
“I could see Calvert-Lewin moving to Manchester United,” King said.
“Perhaps it will be a double deal. I think Everton would be happy with £80million for Branthwaite and Calvert-Lewin.
Man United are still interest Jarrad Branthwaite after having two bids rejected for him.“Calvert-Lewin arrived for a relatively small fee, Branthwaite came through the youth system. Therefore, it could be a good bit of business all around.”Man United’s interest in Branthwaite makes complete sense as the youngster was one of the best defenders in the Premier League last season.
Everton defender can be a valuable addition to Man United
At such a young age, he has shown maturity and helped the Toffees avoid relegation in a season which was full of crisis for them.
However, the interest in Calvert-Lewin makes no sense as the club already have Rasmus Hojlund upfront who will soon be joined by Joshua Zirkzee.
Man United now need a defensive reinforcement along with a midfield addition as these are the two positions that need the most attention after the agreement to sign Zirkzee.
