The plans of Barça and João Cancelo are clear: both parties want to continue together for next season, after a season on loan. However, Manchester City must now be convinced, who are sticking to their positions. The English have agreed for their player to return to Barça next season, but in the form of a permanent transfer, not a loan. The Cityzens are asking for between 20 and 25 million euros for the Portuguese, knowing that they bought him for 65 million euros from Juventus in 2019.

According to Sportthe Mancunians are still opposed to a new loan. The solution could be to extend João Cancelo’s loan by one year with a mandatory purchase option, so that the player is no longer affiliated with Manchester City. The negotiations are expected to last. The Catalan daily believes that it is a soap opera that will take up the entire transfer window.
