Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo were among the quickest to welcome new signing Leny Yoro to Manchester United after the transfer was officially announced on social media this evening.
The attacking duo are the first United players to react to the news that Yoro, 18, will be their new team-mate like Joshua Zirkzee before him.
Yoro was presented as a United player wearing the newly released home shirt for the 2024/25 season. There are other pictures of the French centre-back posing alongside manager Erik ten Hag after signing a five-year deal with the club.
After confirmation of the deal of Thursday, Yoro is expected to start training soon and he will be travelling with the squad to on our pre-season tour of the US.
Garnacho and Amad both welcomed their newest team-mate to United, with messages on social media. The Argentina international wrote ‘Welcome bro!’, while Amad added: “Bienvenue Leny”.
Former United defender Rio Ferdinand added: “Love it”.
United fans are excited by the arrival of one of football’s best defensive prospects. It’s a big boost for the team and we can begin to look forward to next season.
That said, we still need a few more signings. Especially in midfield.
